Welcome
Valued Families of Kidi Kingdom Child Care to our Final
Newsletter of 2021.
I would
like to take this opportunity to thank our current and new
families for choosing our services and how excited I am to
be the Educational Programs Leader across our Kidi Kingdom
Child Care Centres. My new role will consist of ensuring all
children are receiving the best high quality education and
care and supporting our amazing educators to enhance each
and every child's strengths, interest and needs. I will be
visiting the centres on a weekly basis working with the
children and educators to provide support and guidance where
necessary. I look forward to reaching new goals with our
educators for 2022.
Kind
Regards, April Hall Educational Program Leader.

Message from the Junior Early Years Room |
|
Hello and
Welcome to our Junior Early Years Spring Newsletter.
It is with
warmth and pleasure that we welcome Amira, Kayillan, Hazel,
Kristiano, Sophia, Apollo and Atlas to our Junior Early
Years Family. During the term the children have participated
and showed support in special centre events such as
Educators Day, Halloween, Fathers Day Celebrations and Child
Protection Week. We have been supporting the children's
development of self help skills in relation to attempting to
make their own beds, responding to bodily needs of fluid and
hunger, transitions from the home setting to childcare and
expressing their needs for communication between peers.
In the
next months to come we will move into focusing on our room
routine, self help skills, counting, colour recognition, fun
learning stories and exploring music through dancing and
singing to support the children's strengths, interest and
needs. We always encourage our families' suggestions and any
feedback please feel free to contact us. We value your
feedback in our Educate System as your suggestions, comments
and educational opinions will assist us in ensuring your
child's needs and interests are met. Thank you for your
continued support.
Kind
Regards, Miss Jill, Miss Sandy and Miss Jane.

Message from the Early Years Room |
|
Welcome to
the Early Years Classroom.
The last
term for 2021 in the Early Years classroom has been very
busy, fun and full of adventurous exploring. We would also
like to extend a warm welcome to all our new friends and
families who have become part of our Kidi Kingdom family in
the past few months and hope you are all enjoying your time
with us at Kidi Kingdom Child Care. As we have had new
friends move up from the Junior Early Years Classroom, we
have begun to re-focus on our primary colours and basic
shapes as well as observing and extending learning
opportunities on the children's strengths, interests and
needs weekly. We have also enjoyed contributing to the
special centre events as they occur each month like Father's
Day, Halloween Day and Day for Daniel.
We
thank all our friends and families for your continuous
support and if you have any questions or ideas please share
them with through the HubHello Educate App when new
observations are issued to you.
Kind
Regards, Miss Christina, Mr Hayden, Miss Antheya and Miss
Shania. |
Message from the Pre Prep / Kindergarten Room |
|
Welcome to our Pre Prep/Kindergarten Spring Newsletter.
I would like to start by welcoming a number of amazing children
and their families into the Pre Prep/Kindergarten Program - Amna,
Evelyn, Mehtab, Greyson, and Tilly! The children have all done a
fabulous job of making new friendships and relationships with
all the children and educators of the classroom.
It has been a busy term in Pre-Prep/Kindergarten as we continue
to prepare your children for the beginning of their formal
schooling journey. We have focussed heavily on self-help skills
with the children serving their own food at mealtimes, applying
their own sunscreen, putting on their own shoes and hats, and
packing away toys after play time as all these fundamental
skills are to support your child on their next schooling
adventure. We have also been recapping on letter, number, shape
and colour recognition, name writing and recognition for the
children who will be attending school next year.
During the month of September, the children engaged in a range
of events such as Father's Day Celebrations where the children
made gifts for their dads/special person in their life, Child
Protection Week which was a great opportunity for the children
to engage in discussions and activities relating to child safety
and understanding the importance of emergency services. October
was a very busy month with lots of events including World
Teachers Day, Loud Shirt Day, Halloween and Day for Daniel. The
children especially enjoyed participating in a trick or treating
experience throughout the centre where we knocked on the doors
of each room and got given some yummy treats. Loud Shirt Day was
a new event for the centre this year, where we all wore our
loudest and most vibrant shirts to raise some much-needed
awareness for Aussie Kids with hearing impairments. Day for
Daniel was also an important event for the Pre-Prep children to
participate in to provide a deeper understanding into stranger
danger and the importance of child safety.
At the beginning of November the children also began
participating in show and share, which is a fantastic way to
build confidence and verbal communication skills for your child.
If you require another copy of the show and share roster, please
don't hesitate to ask. Throughout the month of November the Pre
Prep children who will be attending school next year will
participate in the Transition into Prep Program (TIP), where
they will visit Regents Park State School to familiarise
themselves with the schooling environment. We will explore the
tuck shops, prep classrooms, the playgrounds, understanding the
difference in toileting and allocated zones for play and
learning.
A friendly reminder that as the weather starts to warm up, it
would be great if you could pack spare clothes in your child's
bag so that they are able to participate in water play using the
outdoor water park. Please ensure your child's clothing is
clearly labelled to avoid items getting misplaced.
A big thank you to all of our families and community for your
ongoing support. It is wonderful to have such positive
relationships with you all in order to appropriately support
your child in their developmental journey.
Kind Regards, Miss Cheri and Miss Kara.

Welcome to the final term of the school year in 2021. It has
been an amazing year for everyone as we move into the remainder
of the year and school term.
We have been focusing on building new relationships as we
welcomed some new school children to our program. The children
have been very receptive and have embraced our new friends.
We will be working on Christmas projects when school ceases in
December. At this time we are all very focused on our education
and learning.
Our Hubello Educate App is available for families to access your
child's learning journey and we look forward to receiving your
feedback.
Kind Regards, Miss Anthya.

Our Sustainable Practices Vegetable Garden! |
In early 2021, as part of its ongoing
commitment to a greener future, Woolworths in
partnership with Landcare Australia opened their
third round of Woolworths Junior Landcare Grants and
Kidi Kingdom Child Care Hillcrest was accepted into
the program! This has enabled the children and
educators to all partake in sustainable gardening
experiences and supporting the children to have a
wider understanding on the role we all take in
respecting our environments.
