Message from the Educational Leader |
Dear Valued
Centre Families,
Welcome to a
brand new year at Kidi Kingdom Childcare Centre Pimpama! We are
excited to embark on another year of learning, exploration, and
growth with your little ones.
As we settle
into the year, our educators are focused on getting to know each
child individually. Through observation, meaningful
interactions, and milestone checklists, we are assessing each
child's development to ensure they receive the support they need
to thrive. This process allows us to tailor our learning
programs to cater to each child's unique strengths, interests,
and developmental needs.
Building
strong relationships is a key focus in our rooms this term. By
fostering connections and trust between children, educators, and
peers, we create a warm and supportive environment where
children feel safe and confident to explore, learn, and express
themselves. Through group activities, play-based learning, and
one-on-one engagement, we are encouraging friendships and
positive social interactions among the children.
We also
encourage families to share insights about their child's
interests and routines at home. Your input helps us create a
seamless connection between home and childcare, supporting your
child's overall development and well-being.
We look
forward to a fantastic year ahead and appreciate your ongoing
support. If you have any questions or would like to discuss your
child's progress, please feel free to speak with our educators.
Warm Regards,
Kylie Price Educational Leader

Message from the Early Learners Room |
Dear Valued
Centre Families,
As we step
into the new year, our Nursery Room has been filled with
exciting experiences, warm welcomes and lots of learning through
play. We are delighted to have new little friends join our room
and are working closely with families to establish comforting
routines that help children feel safe and secure in their new
environment.
This month, we
have been exploring our senses through a variety of sensory
activities. From squishy textures to colourful materials, our
little learners have enjoyed engaging in hands on experiences
that support their cognitive and physical development. Sensory
play encourages curiosity and helps build essential skills
through discovery and exploration.
Music has also
been a big part of our room! The children have been introduced
to a range of musical instruments, from shakers to tambourines,
and have had so much fun creating their own little melodies.
Singing together has brought smiles all around, fostering
language development and strengthening our sense of community.
We look
forward to another wonderful month of learning and playing.
Thank you for your continued support, we love sharing these
moments with your little ones!
Kind Regards,
Ms Sinead Early Learners Lead Educator

Message from the Junior Early Learners Room |
Dear Valued
Centre Families,
Happy New Year
to all our wonderful families!. We hope you had a fantastic
holiday season filled with love, laughter and special moments.
We are so excited to welcome you back and look forward to
another amazing year of learning, growth, and fun!
As we begin
this journey together in 2025, we are committed to providing a
warm, nurturing environment where your little ones can thrive.
Our team is dedicated to supporting your child's development
through engaging activities that promote learning, curiosity and
confidence. We can't wait to work alongside you to make this
year a memorable and enriching one for your child!
What We Have Been Up to So Far...
Over the past
few weeks, our little learners have been busy exploring and
developing important foundational skills through play-based
activities. Here's a peek into what we've been focusing on:
-
Nursery Rhymes - We've been singing and dancing
along to some classic nursery rhymes! These songs help
children with language development, rhythm, and memory
skills while making learning fun and interactive.
-
Colours - Our little ones have been discovering and
identifying different colours through engaging hands-on
activities, including painting, sorting, and sensory
play. Recognising colours is an essential early learning
milestone, and we love seeing the excitement on their
faces as they name their favourite ones!
-
Fine Motor Skills - We've been working on
strengthening those tiny fingers and hands through
activities that encourage grasping, holding, and
manipulating objects. A special focus has been placed on
picking things up with one hand, which helps develop
coordination and prepares little ones for future skills
like writing and self-care tasks.
Looking Ahead...
We have so
many exciting experiences planned for the coming months, from
sensory explorations and creative arts to outdoor adventures and
group learning activities. As always, we appreciate your support
and encourage you to chat with us about your child's progress,
interests, and any milestones you'd like to celebrate with us!
Thank you for
being part of our wonderful Junior Early Years Room family.
Let's make 2025 a year filled with growth, joy and learning!
Kind Regards,
Ms Melinda and Ms Juliana Junior Early Learners Educators

Message from the Junior Early Years Room |
Dear Valued
Centre Families,
We have had an
exciting time engaging in creative and hands on experiences with
the children. It has been a delight to see their enthusiasm and
curiosity shine through every activity. Here's a look at what
we've been up to and what's coming next!
What We Have Been Doing...
We have been
exploring various art experiences that support creativity,
cultural appreciation, and fine motor development. The children
thoroughly enjoyed the following activities:
-
Kangaroo Dot Painting - This experience was a huge
hit! The children loved using dot painting techniques to
create beautiful kangaroo artwork, which also helped
refine their fine motor skills and hand-eye
coordination.
-
Indigenous Flag Hand Prints - The children had the
opportunity to paint their hands and leave their colourful prints on paper, symbolising their connection
to art and culture. This experience encouraged
self-expression and sensory exploration.
-
Kiwi Bird Collage - Using small pieces of paper, the
children carefully picked up and glued them onto their
paper to create a kiwi bird. This activity was excellent
for developing fine motor skills and fostering
concentration.
What We Are Focusing on Now:
As we move
into February, we are embracing new themes and learning
opportunities:
-
Valentine's Day Art - We are celebrating love and
kindness through heart-themed art and craft activities.
The children will be encouraged to create special
keepsakes to share with their families.
-
Learning Colours - Through interactive games, sensory
play, and art experiences, we are helping children
explore and recognise different colours in fun and
meaningful ways.
-
Practising Counting - We are incorporating counting into
daily routines, songs, and hands-on activities to build
early numeracy skills. What's Coming Up... Looking ahead,
we are planning exciting experiences based on the
children's interests:
-
All
About Insects - We will be learning about different
insects, their habitats, and their roles in nature
through storytelling, art, and exploration.
-
Healthy Eating Experiences - We will introduce fun and
engaging food-related activities that encourage children
to learn about nutritious choices and explore different
textures and tastes.

Dear Valued
Centre Families,
We are
delighted to welcome you and your little ones to Room 1!. As we
step into a fresh and exciting year, we look forward to building
strong relationships with both our children and families. Our
goal is to create a nurturing and stimulating environment where
each child feels a sense of belonging and security.
This month,
our focus has been on the theme 'All About Me',
a journey that encourages children to develop a strong
sense of identity. Through this theme, we aim to support
children in recognising their individuality while also fostering
a sense of community. We have been exploring various topics,
including:
-
Nature
- Engaging with the environment and discovering the world around
us.
-
Feelings
and Emotions - Learning to express and understand different
emotions through stories, discussions, and creative play.
-
Teacher-Initiated Experiences
- Encouraging curiosity and
exploration through guided activities.
-
Australia
Day and Lunar New Year - Introducing cultural awareness and
celebrations that broaden children's understanding of diversity.
As we
progress, we will be incorporating each child's individual
interests to shape our room experiences. Your child's voice
matters and we encourage them to contribute their ideas, helping
us create a space that is meaningful and engaging for everyone.
Additionally,
we will be focusing on the ACECQA milestones for each child,
ensuring their development is nurtured in alignment with best
practices. These milestones guide our planning and help us
provide individualised support tailored to your child's growth
and learning journey.
We are excited
to share this wonderful learning adventure with you. If you have
any questions or insights about your child's interests and
goals, please feel free to speak with us. Together, we can make
this year a memorable and enriching one for all our little
learners!

the Senior Early Years Room |
Dear Valued
Centre Families,
As we embark
on a new year in Room 5, we are thrilled to welcome our families
and share the exciting experiences that await our children. To
create a warm and engaging learning environment, we have
thoughtfully rearranged our room to foster a strong sense of
belonging. Each area has been carefully designed to support
different aspects of learning, ensuring that every child feels
comfortable, confident, and inspired to explore.
The children
have settled in beautifully, embracing the routines and engaging
in a wide range of educational experiences. Our focus this term
will be on foundational skills that will support their
development across multiple domains. These include:
-
Letters
and Alphabet Recognition - Introducing and reinforcing
letter sounds, names, and early literacy skills.

Message from
the Kindergarten 1 Room |
Dear Valued
Centre Families,
We have had a
fantastic time in our Kindergarten room, exploring, learning and
growing together! This month has been all about engaging
experiences that extend the children's learning in exciting
ways. From developing early literacy skills to moving and
grooving with music, we have been busy little learners!
Phonics Fun - Building Early Literacy Skills
Phonics is an
essential part of our literacy journey, helping children
recognise letters and sounds while building a strong foundation
for reading and writing. This month, we have been focusing on
identifying letter sounds, tracing letters and using fun, hands
on activities to reinforce learning. Our little learners have
been practicing phonics through storytelling, rhyming games and
interactive letter hunts. We encourage families to continue
letter recognition activities at home by pointing out letters in
books and signs!
Music and Movement
Music and
movement play a big role in our classroom, supporting
coordination, rhythm and self expression. We have been singing
songs, clapping rhythms and dancing to different beats. The
children especially loved using musical instruments and moving
their bodies to action songs. Movement activities help develop
gross motor skills and they also encourage creativity and
teamwork!. Ask your child about their favourite song or dance
move from this month!
Yoga and Mindfulness
Our little
learners have been practicing simple yoga poses and mindfulness
techniques. Yoga is a great way to support balance, flexibility,
and self-regulation. The children have been enjoying animal
themed yoga, stretching like cats, hopping like frogs and
standing tall like trees. Through breathing exercises, we are
also learning how to relax and calm our minds. Try a fun yoga
pose at home together and enjoy some peaceful moments!
Developmental Milestones (Ages 3-5)
At this stage,
children are reaching important milestones in their development.
Here are some key areas of growth we focus on in our
Kindergarten room:
-
Social and
Emotional: Learning to share, take turns and express feelings
with words.
-
Cognitive: Recognising letters, counting, problem solving and engaging in
pretend play.
-
Physical:
Running, jumping, balancing, and using fine motor skills like
cutting and writing.
-
Language:
Expanding vocabulary, telling stories and following multi step
directions. We tailor our learning experiences to meet each
child's developmental needs, ensuring they feel confident and
supported on their journey.
Room Rules and Routine
Consistency is
key to helping children feel safe and confident in their
environment. Our classroom routine includes:
-
Morning
welcome and group time
-
Phonics and
literacy activities
-
Indoor and
outdoor play
-
Music,
movement and yoga sessions
-
Lunchtime
and rest time
-
Creative and
exploratory play
We also
encourage positive behaviour through kindness, respect and
responsibility. Reinforcing these values at home can further
support your child's learning and social development.
Thank You!
We appreciate
your ongoing support in your child's learning journey. If you
have any questions or would like to share any special moments
from home, please let us know! Let's keep learning and growing
together!

Message from
the Kindergarten 2 Room |
Dear Valued
Centre Families,
We are excited
to introduce Ms Sam, the new Kindergarten teacher for our
Kindergarten 2 program at Kidi Kingdom Child Care Pimpama! With
over 20 years of experience in the childcare industry, Ms Sam is
passionate about creating a nurturing and engaging learning
environment that encourages young minds to thrive.
In her own
words:
"Hello! My
name is Ms Sam and I'm thrilled to be your child's teacher in
Kindergarten 2. I have two teenage children of my own and being
a parent has only deepened my love for teaching and guiding
young learners. It brings me so much joy and affirmation to be
here, teaching and growing alongside your child."
Our Focus for Learning
In
Kindergarten 2, we will be focusing on building a strong
foundation for learning in a playful, engaging and interactive
way. Here is a glimpse of what your child will be learning in
the coming weeks:
● Classroom
Rules and Routines:
We will start
by introducing important classroom rules and routines to ensure
a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment. Children will
learn the importance of taking turns, listening to others, and
following instructions. By establishing these routines, we aim
to create a space where everyone feels secure and ready to
explore.
● Phonics and Early Literacy:
Phonics will
be at the heart of our early literacy activities. We will
introduce children to the sounds of letters, helping them
understand how letters form words. Through songs, stories, and
games, we will create opportunities for your child to explore
the alphabet and its sounds, laying the foundation for reading
and writing.
● Mathematical Concepts:
Building
numeracy skills is an essential part of our curriculum. We will
be exploring basic math concepts like numbers, counting, shapes,
and patterns. Using hands-on activities and group games,
children will develop their understanding of number sense and
how math is a part of everyday life.
● Creative
Expression and Exploration:
Creativity
will be encouraged through arts, crafts, and music. Children
will have opportunities to express themselves and develop fine
motor skills while exploring different mediums. From painting to
dancing, we will support your child's imaginative journey and
help them develop confidence in their own creative abilities.
● Social and Emotional Learning:
Understanding
and managing emotions are key skills for young children. We will
focus on building emotional intelligence through group
activities, storytelling, and role-playing, helping your child
understand their feelings and develop empathy for others.
● Physical
Development and Wellbeing:
Physical
activity is also an important part of our day. Whether it's
through structured games, outdoor play, or movement activities,
your child will develop their coordination, balance, and overall
physical health. These activities are not only fun but also
essential for the development of motor skills.
I am
incredibly excited to watch your child grow and flourish this
year, and I look forward to partnering with you to ensure their
success. If you have any questions or would like to know more
about what we are learning, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Let's make this year a memorable one filled with discovery, fun
and learning!
Warm Regards,
Ms Sam Kindergarten 2 Teacher

School Care |
Dear Valued
Centre Families,
We hope you
all had a wonderful Christmas and a happy New Year, filled with
joy and relaxation. As we dive into the year, we are excited to
share that we have already had a fantastic start, with a
significant interest in both before school and after school
care. It has been wonderful to see some of our Kindergarten
friends from last year join our bus services from Pimpama State
School and how exciting to see familiar faces returning!
Our focus has
been on building connections with the children through our "All
About Me" theme, where we are taking the time to get to know
each other better. The children have been sharing their
favourite things, their families and what they are looking
forward to this year. It has been lovely to see everyone
settling back into their school routine and we have been
encouraging the children to express how they are adjusting.
A key topic of
conversation has been Bus Rules, ensuring all our friends
understand the safety measures we take to make sure everyone
gets to and from school safely. The children have been very
engaged in these discussions, which is fantastic as safety is
always our top priority.
We have also
begun brainstorming ideas for upcoming Vacation Care, with many
of the children sharing their thoughts on the types of
activities they would like to see. It is always inspiring to
hear their creativity and ideas and we can't wait to put some of
these into action.
As always,
thank you for your ongoing support. We are looking forward to
another fun filled and exciting year together!
Kind Regards,
Ms Melanie School Care Educator
