Playtime is an opportunity for the children to express each individual's interest, challenge, grow and try out new skills while learning through fun playtime. Play helps our children learn about themselves and the world around them. Children need different kinds of play opportunities from birth to use their imagination, learn and practice their emerging skills.

Children have the best chance at learning when they are physically, emotionally and mentally healthy. To achieve long term healthy habits, it is proven to support and guide children to start in their early years. Children learn about emotions, what to eat, how to act and how to treat others, from their educators, family and the people around them. Providing a balanced home life and supporting your child can help them find it easier to adapt to different environments, make friends, concentrate and manage their emotions.

Children build language skills through listening and being involved in conversations. Being able to communicate helps children make sense of their world and clearly communicate their needs, it also helps them to understand others. It is never too early to start communicating with your child and there are many different ways to include talking and listening in your day-to-day routines. I am sure you have heard about the importance of reading to your child/ren every day, the younger the better.

Learning the basics of literacy and numeracy at an early age sets up our children to enjoy learning throughout their lives. These skills help children to understand things by building links and organising information into concepts. Learning the basics through reading, playing games, counting and talking from an early age teaches children basic concepts and prepares them for life.

Children are able to deal with change and new experiences well when they feel safe, confident and happy. Having strong and supportive relationships from a young age helps children develop self-confidence and important social skills. Children look up to their family for support, and there are many different ways you can help your child emotionally to make them feel safe, secure and loved. Our health, hygiene and educational programs are available for families to view at our Kidi Kingdom Child Care Centre's.
